Listen to Bro. Willis Moore this morning on Two Things We Should Give God Great Thanks For. November 22, 2020 10:45 am.

 Welcome to

First Baptist Church

of Odem!

Our vision is to make a positive impact upon our community by providing a place where all are welcome, and where individuals and families can grow  in faith and discover God's plan for their lives.

We are committed to making a positive impact  by, and helping others experience the "perfect peace" that comes from faith in Jesus Christ, and obedience to the Holy Spirit.

We invite you to join us this Sunday for an encouraging worship service.  We pray that you will feel the presence of the Holy Spirit as we worship together through music, prayer and a message from God's word, the Holy Bible.

Everyone is welcome!

We want you here!

  • Recognition for Deacons

Deadline to get your filled shoe box to the church is Monday, November 16.  For more information contact Jan Vickers or the church office at 361-368-4091.

  • Food Pantry Truck - Unload & Sort

The Food Pantry truck will arrive at about 8:30 am on Friday, November 20.  We will need volunteers to help unload the truck and to box the food for distribution.  Contact Oscar or Dominga Guerra or call the church office at 361-368-4091.

  • Food Pantry - Distribution & Thanksgiving Community Lunch

On Saturday, November 12, at 11:00 am we will begin distribution of the Thanksgiving Community Lunch and food boxes to those registered in the community program.

Volunteers are needed to help serve the meals, and carry the food boxes to the vehicles for those we are serving.  Many are unable to carry that load, so we serve and carry it for them.  For the Glory of God.  Contact Oscar or Dominga Guerra or the church office at 361-368-4091.

  • Sunday Morning Worship Service In-Person & Online

On Sunday, August 23, we returned to our Sunday morning worship service in-person.  We are meeting in the Family Life Center and continue social distancing, face masks, etc., following guidelines from the Governor and the Center for Disease Control.  We are also providing the livestream of the service via Facebook Live, at 10:45 am each Sunday morning, and continue to release it to YouTube and this webpage.

On Sunday, October 4, we returned to our Sunday School classes in-person.

We are not yet having our regular Sunday or Wednesday evening services at this time.  We hope to return to those soon as well.

If you need assistance or have questions, please call the church office at 361-368-4091.

Please pray for an end to this virus and healing around the world.
